And Nicki's personality didn't affect her music.
The obvious decline in quality from PF to PFRR did.

Oh, well...
I suppose since I'm from the UK I didn't hear about it. But overall he's not been crazy, just recklessly foolish at times.

Kanye actually backs up his ego.

That's definitely subjective though. And Christina's never said anything about her work the way Kanye has
Look at someone like Chris Brown, his public personality just gets worse and worse, and his music isn't exactly acclaimed either, but his career is fine at the moment

Apparently she was quite arrogant, and fell out with Louis Walsh who then killed her career by getting her blacklisted (he didn't like her attitude). Also she appeared on UK and Irish TV and didn't come off too well.

But we're on about her image, which to the average person it will. A hit is a hit and songs change opinion, as does a personality.

Radio is keeping that sweet. Once that's gone he will truly suffer (see what happened to Alexandra in the UK). It will come CRASHING downE.

Mary wasn't mentally screwed nor on drugs in 2002, either. Mary's instability took place in the early '90s, and I see no reason for Mary to have to lie about her confrontation with Christina. Mary rarely ever talks down about other artists unless they've done something to offend her, and anyone who knows or follows Mary knows that. As for the Mary/Christina "friendship," I'm sure Mary's a grown woman mentally and doesn't hold grudges, but that doesn't mean Christina is a friend of hers or that the incident didn't take place. Also, if you take away Avril, Pink and Mary from the equation, you still have a bunch of other artists/celebs who have spoken out about Christina's attitude. The conclusion here is Christina has pissed several people off, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's the reason she is a nobody now.

Mary's said that she was mentally messed up and on drugs until her marriage and that was in 2003. People also don't just automatically heal too, its a gradual process that takes time.
Did I say they were both best friends? No. But I'm sure you know someone like Mary J wouldn't throw that label around loosely. I'm sure something happened, but I think it was a misunderstanding. If you look at other people meeting Christina, they've talk about how nice she was when she first met them. Why of all people would Mary J be singled out?
And most of the other celebs are in the same boat. You know people can think you have a reputation and perceive something about you even if it isn't true, and then attack her first. But then guess who gets the blame? Christina

All sorts of things can ruin a career.
Unexpected and unwanted change in music (Christina)
Too long break, failed comeback (Nelly Furtado)
Overexposure (T-Pain)
Material that sucks (Akon)
Label problems (Jojo)
Lost interest/fade (Ciara)
Band/single artist mess (Nicole, Gwen)

But then that really is the key to this whole discussion. It's not about their personality - it's more about their radio play or lack of

I think more important for the GP is your attitude on the stage than your attitude off the stage especially in the age of youtube.
You can be spellbound from perfect dance moves and skills in connection with a good song like it is for Beyoncé.
Or an artist can sing and stand still and a glare of her can hit the viewer like a magnet, ADELE.makes it that way.
It works subconscious and that is what we call charisma.

Exactly.
And a decline in quality paired with a bad temper in 2012 (as said by her herself) isn't a great combination.

Oh but it is. If people don't like you then they can easily turn on you. Radio execs are also people too. Other factors are in play too of course, but personality has an impact imo.

It depends on how obviously and in what way they show it.

True. I hope she gets back to her 2010 self. I adored her. It saddens me to see people laughing at her and seeing her as talentless which she is NOT.

Well, when you put it that way in terms of being likable to radio executives, that I could see.
I remember Mariah Carey got blacklisted from Z100 because she had a problem with somebody working there, and then that helped lead to her losing pop radio for years, and her overall downfall

Oh. I never knew that. Thanks
But yeah it does. With Alex I remember the Capital UK Boss saying there's more reasons as to quality as to why a song is not playlisted (on Twitter when directly asked by stans). So that proved it was something else. Personality or not, these things do have an impact. Look at Adele with Skyfall. Everyone loved her and it got huge UK airplay. It matters. Amy Winehouse had a bad image with B2B and her drug issues and her mouth etc. She got Radio 1 and urban support and some from other stations, but overall had issues with how folks saw her. It sadly does count.
