GMAYL was a megaflop, it didn't even go platinum, just like the 9 back-to-back megaflop singles from "4."
*** your fave can't perform without lip-syncing half of the song (or lip-syncing the full song just like at Obama's inauguration).
Kiss Kiss <3
GMAYL's performance would have been even worse without the Superbowl performance.
4 didn't have 9 singles. And BTINH (and LoT I believe) went platinum so by your definition, that isn't a megaflop.
And Beyoncé has performed songs, start to finish, live. With vocals that are nothing short of astounding.
I advise you to take a time out, you're obviously angry.
While you're calming down watch this video
An obviously hoarse Beyoncé slays three songs in a row. Live
What kind of Fuming Madonna, Prince, Usher, etc.. All people with more star power and better stage presence than Beyonce and gained nothing from the event. It's safe to say life will continue as if nothing happened.
NONE, and I mean NONE of those artists have as much star power as Beyonce now, not even Madonna, who has been trampolining the has-been line for a few years now. And dead @ Usher having more star power or stage power than Beyonce.
What do you as a fan get from chart positions? Eh? As a fan what do you want from your fav the most performances or chart positions? I care less about the chart position, but what I do want her to continue doing is booking big stages like this. Can't say the same about everyone's fav.
And her singles may have been duds this era, but that's only 1 era out of 4, many artists go through this at some point of their career... You should know this. And let's not act like her album didn't push 1.3 million copies without radio support when artists with multiple #1 hits barely scrape 1 million. Bye.
"There is not one SuperBowl performer who got a career boost after their performance."
1. This is false.
2. Most if not all halftime performers are already established acts.
3. Between 300% and 1000% increases in sales for both back catalogs and new releases have been reported annually.
Nothing about doing the SuperBowl halftime show is a career killer. If you got new stuff coming out, it's what they do AFTER the show that causes it to flop. So far, the only examples are BEP and Madonna which in both cases they went directly on tour instead of promoting the album more.
As for those saying ”yes”, you wish your fave could book this ”killer”.

@ the fact that you typed up all this nonsense and are still fuming really shows your intelligence.
Back on topic: Nope, the careers that were destroyed were the ones that were already dead. Be sure to tune in next Sunday to watch TEH KING destroy your fave's career though.
Beyonce been outselling yo fave for 10 years now. soooo, yeah.
Clock it.
It's so sad watching the girls spend more time hating on other artists than stanning for their faves.
The Superbowl Curse does not exist. The subsequent mismanagement of an era on the other hand, does.
Toni Braxton performed and had her comeback era
Diana Ross's performance had no effect on her already legendary career
Shania Twain's performance didn't hurt her career
Gloria Estefan's performance had no effect on her glorious career
Whitney Houston's performance became one of the greatest moments of American television
Mariah Carey had her comeback era after performing
--------
I think Beyonce's performance will just remind people of how talented she is.
No, but for artists who's careers are not doing well (Madonna album sales, single sales.. Beyonce all around career decline) it's not a good show to go on because its something artists who should retire do.
