Kelly Clarkson Dishes on Wedding Plans and Possible Elopement?
Last week the newly engaged “Don’t Rush” singer Kelly Clarkson stopped by to talk toCMT Radio Live with Cody Alan. She gave him the scoop about her wedding plans and why eloping sounds appealing.
With 2 busy schedules, it turns out wedding planning can get complicated. Kelly said,
“It’s so hard. I want to elope. It’s just like a lot of details and questions with what to do. We don’t have a date or anything but basically we’re gonna get married anytime we can because he’s so busy because he manages Blake (Shelton) and I’m busy ’cause I have my schedule so wherever we can fit it in is where we’re gonna get married.”
Kelly lucked out because Reba’s oldest niece is a wedding planner and is helping the couple out with the details. The singer admits they don’t have a lot done when it comes to the planning, and that they don’t want it to be huge.
“We want something intimate, but it can’t be too intimate, we’ve got a lot of family. Well, he’s got a lot of family. I’ve got like eight people. But we’ve got a lot of close friends that we… you know, I couldn’t get married without my band being there. They’re like my brothers and sisters, so. It’s gonna be a little smaller than what people would think. Honestly, We don’t have a lot of it done, so … yay!”
