MKIA is more radio-friendly than DS, so I think it could've fared well on its own as a third late-summer single. DS would have been better off feeding off of lead single promo and a fall/winter release when depressing songs do much better. No one wanted to hear such an emo song during the summer.

I actually kind of think the opposite, I think they waited too long. They should have struck while the iron was hot and released DS in March/April around when WDKY was peaking in airplay. I don't get why they waited so long, it's not like radio is against playing two different songs by the same artist.

But whatever, no use crying over spilled milk. Stronger was Kelly's most succesfull album after Breakaway. Not many pop stars these days can achieve such things. Kelly being the third most played artist on radio after 10 years of her career is ****ing amazing.

CMB hasn't gotten nearly the amount of promo MKIA got either and is still climbing almost on it's own

Slaying the lessers without any effort whatsoever

Still I'm not convinced about it being her second biggest era. Thankful is 3 x platinum is it not? And that also had a #1 single. Plus it had Timeless which become a hit in Korea

Nope. Sober is the great gem everyone hypes it up to be. Its beautiful but thats about it for me
