To al of the people who are buying 3DS'es, the game is released in October, there's plenty of time .

Or maybe those people, who were waiting for a Pokemon announcement to jump on the 3DS wagon, want to play good games like Mario Kart 3DS and Kingdom Hearts in the meantime ?
It has a longer battery life, bigger screens, supposedly it's way better to hold than the original, they say its design is better + there's a Pikachu version out right now (in Europe anyway, don't know about the US)
