Top 40 was not going to help her anymore after that abandonment (didn't fit the musical landscape at all), and the international audiences weren't checking for her singles after that either. So nothing was going to be a success.
Except for maybe Hair. It's melodic enough that it didn't need to coast by solely on her name alone.

The era wouldve been looked at differently without the TEOG video. Judas, even with the chart hit, picked up a lot of interest with the video.
TEOG undercut that single, made the era shorter than it shouldve, etc.
Not gonna lie, I was happy MTN flopped when I found out it would be the end of the era. If it went Top 10, she wouldve kept going and it just wasn't doing her any favors at that point.
She got the 7m copies sold, time to move on and stop with the diminished momentum.
