I agree what you are saying and yes some current artists are posers, but they still have some great songs.
I Namedropped in my book, but I know their songs, their stories, and I love their music. I wouldn't do it, if they didn't influence me, or I had no interest in.

The difference with hip-hop, and pop, is that Country Music has a viable and the history is well documented, and the older generations, and new singers can still come together and can connect.
The stories are there to read and be told and you can visit Nashville and see the buildings and be part of the history. You really can't do that with pop and hip-hop, and rap.

Pop maybe. Hip-hop/Rap? I'm not so sure since I'm not really know how's it going there.

It will find a way to connect. It can't be forced. It's bound to happen, maybe in the future. I'd rather her not to do it and being stand-out on her own if that's what She wants rather than being forced to it. It won't be pretty and I'm not here for plastics. Ryan Adams is still claimed by the underground Country scene even tho he's back to Americana on his last album and most of his discog are Pop/Rock sans Whiskeytown's and openly dissed Country music at 2008 (it's on NME's archive).

Taylor's cover of "Run" was a career highlight imo. I've always loved that song so much, so it was great to hear Taylor perform it. I do wish she'd cover more country songs, but I understand that in concert she wants to hear people sing along, which generally means singing popular songs that the young audience would know.

She's never covered Shania (because she wants to avoid comparisons?), she's barely covered Faith, and her Dixie Chicks covers were only fragments of the songs IIRC.

She is like going backwards...I mean really she was sweet at 16, and nice. Now she wants revenge, and is very mean like.
To me her bullying issues have made her act like she does.
I got money and I'm going to give and give it away to make me look nice so people won't pick on me anymore.
