Does everyone honestly think so highly of themselves that they think their lyrics are so profressional that people are going in here to steal them? Have a seat in the corner. What makes you think professionals are in here anyways? There are threads like this all the time. Have you ever seen or heard of lyrics or music stolen on ATRL? No? Well, of course not because it's not really happening. As for actual music, if you're posting it here from SoundCloud, isn't it kind of obvious you made it first? In fact, even if someone stole your lyrics on ATRL, it's clear you made it first because it says when you posted it.

I read that songwriters get 60-80% of the royalties from each song sold.

$1 song sold on iTunes:

iTunes gets 30% - 0.30c

The rest of the 0.70c is shared amongst the songwriters, label, singer, producer.

So the songwriter will definitely make 50-60 cents from that 0.70c.

Katy Perry made $35M from songwriting alone.

If you write songs for other people, you get payed before the song is even recorded I believe. Then you also get royalties

I know some people who do stuff in the music industry. The most important thing is being well-rounded, because there's not always going to be a label deal or a songwriting opportunity. Sometimes you just need to take random small music jobs to make a living

Diane Warren: I think she could be considered an artist as well, she is so versatile one minute she can write a song about sex and you wouldn't even notice. The next she could write all these love songs without ever being in love

Dawn Richard: One you get pass the autotune her voice is good for her kind of music, and her songs are always set up differently. I like her style of writing the most, she could write about the same topic in 5 different songs and you most likely wouldn't even be able to tale all of the songs are about the same thing.

Anyways, I like the lyrics. Some lines might need to be reworked. Like, is this part being sarcastic?

And then I think you could have a different line instead of "not hell". I see a lot of potential in your lyrics, but the only problem is not to really rhyme just for the sake of rhyming. Keep in mind that whatever words rhyme in a song are the words that should be the most important. Since they're rhyming the brain makes them stand out the most to a listener.
But I really like it and I like the idea for the type of music that it would be.
