True. It's one of the hidden gems. The album version can be nice to some, but sometimes it takes hearing her sing it live to REALLY get it (it's the lyrics, vocals, the passion, the feeling...)... Kittens, let's give this new KP stan a couple TOY live videos to slay them. (I would do that now but I am running short on time.) Ah fine, here...

Thanks, I'll watch them soon! I like the acoustic one much better than the studio + it was some live footage in the movie and it was also better than the studio version

I read somewhere that "Peacock" and "Firework" were the last songs that made the record.

Pearl was recorded as the "final gem" of the original album. So instead of Firework, Peacock, and California Gurls, we would have got Dressin Up and Part of Me.

Then she went back and did CG with Luke, and Firework and Peacock with Stargate. That's how we ended up with DU and POM on the re-release, because when Firework was released, she said she'd put POM and DU as a "special edition".
