Hearing the royalties stories makes you wonder how much Gaga is raking in considering she's credited as the performer, songwriter and often producer, and she gets money every time the song is sold, spun on radio, played on tv/film, and even sung in karaoke bars.
Then there's YouTube. Apparently she could be making $1 per 1000 views. She's at like 2.5 billion combined, right?
No wonder she took in $52 odd million from music alone in May 2011 - May 2012.

I wasn't aware that artists got paid for Youtube views.
I thought the money went to record labels.
They did say that the songwriter gets paid whenever their song is heard (excl. private use).
