I've been far too mild in my rating of some songs. Can't believe half of TSE is already gone and BtB still has a landslide of songs left. If I knew everyone was going to throw around zeros loosely, I would've probably given half of BtB a zero.
Loose still perfect. The beautiful ballads Showtime and In God's Hands are flawless, just like basically the whole album.
It's basically a collection of Christina's fans praising her. I guess it would've been cuter if she had focused more on the actual dedication than the fans glorifying her.

I guess I just don't like the concept behind it... The vocals and production are respectable, though, so I see where you're coming from. To each his own, I guess.

The first track to leave the rate is the oft-derided dedication to Xtina's fans. You can look at this song either one of two ways, which two of our participants have explained in the thread:
Most people in this rate seem to agree with madonnas. I can understand, though, why the fans would love this song. It's pretty cool that X would put her fans on her album; I'm sure it's a highlight of their life to hear their voice on the album. The instrumentation is actually very calming and nice, while the vocals are also on point. If the subject matter was something else, I think this song could have been higher, because it's well-constructed.
I will admit: this used to be my favorite song from The Dutchess when it first came out. However, those commercials for The CW kinda ruined it. I still gave it a 7.5 for nostalgia; it should probably have gotten a lower score. I think this was supposed to be a single in the US (before "Glamorous"), but it never materialized. Instead, it got sent to Australia to die. The sample of "Get Ready" by The Temptations is cute, and Fergie gives a shout-out to Hacienda Heights, where she reigns as the Dutchess. will.i.am also delivers another forgettable rap to add to his collection.
