She grew up writing country music with her Mum, and was also inspired by garage rock and punk because of her brother Lagan. I think the whole electro and dance thing was just a musical phase she went through in her early 20s - and thus we have
Animal. I mean, does she really want to make that kind of music forever? The songs in that route feel so uninspired on
Warrior, even though I really like them. It felt more natural on
Animal, because that's the music she actually wanted to make at the time. The whole thing how she said she was "forced" to sing 'Die Young' gives me the impression that she doesn't really want to do what she already did 3 years ago.
