My only concern is that Kelly has had 10 years of selling her particular image and she is KNOWN for her break-up anthems (no matter how much they all sound alike). They sell well and have kept her in the public eye.

For her to change her sound would be a huge risk that I'm not sure will pay off and if her record company is willing to let her take. It would have to be especially awesome for people to accept it.

Not that I don't believe in Kelly, but we all know sometimes even amazing music don't get accepted by the public because of packaging, promotion, and the public's unwillingness to accept change.

I totally agree. I don't want Kelly to go start dancing around polls or talking about how she loves sucking lollipop lol. That would just be weird and awkward. That would be very very very risky. Some nice love songs can do the trick though.

When im not in the mood for pop, i listen to EDM and i just get blue-balled over the fact that Kelly doesnt go in that direction. You have no idea how extremely compatible Kelly's soft yet edgy voice is for dubstep, electro-house, and electro-dance music. Have you not heard any of the recent remixes of her singles? Some are even better or as good as the original, and would have SOARED on the charts if they were released ESP in this dance-pop climate

Dubstep, no. Dance with some electronic, yes. The thing is, we all know Kelly loves singing live and those songs require a lot of assistance from computers. I wouldn't mind it on studio recordings but translating it live would be

That's why artists like her and Pink stay where they're at because they don't progress to anything new.

I don't want her to pull an Usher and completely cop out of her true genre and talent, but at least the production of her songs can sound a tad more current than 2005 pop rock. Add a few synths, electro beats etc. to the pop rock songs. That's why I loved "Stronger" single. It included those synth beats but it was a pop rock song overall
