But is option 2 worth it at the price of creative freedom? We saw the true rock P!nk come out on Try This. Unfortunately, because it flopped, she had to change who she was to be successful. It saved her career at the time, so it wasn't a bad move exactly, but I can't imagine she feels that satisfied in that aspect

Christina just started having a lull in her career now, after 12 years in her career. It was bound to happen. Nobody stays on top forever

I think it was more embarrassing for P!nk to have her just lull 4 years years into her career . She was able to recover though, so I don't think you can write her off yet. Unless you wrote off P!nk at the time too

Christina from her debut to Stripped was pristine. Back to Basics was alright but all downhill from there it seems so I'd say P!NK

So who's looking up to who here? Dirrty was inspired by Britney's "Slave" rebellion and Beautiful happened thanks to Pink/Linda. Hmmm. If she wouldn't have had a hit to pull that era out of the ground, where would she be? Christina has never been a trend setter.

GTPS had a lot of hype coming from LM though. She wasn't very well known before that (She's even credited last on that song, even after a small R&B singer like Mya )

And I don't think Slave inspired Dirrty. Christina was always sexual before that and it would have come out regardless

Beautiful may not have saved Stripped if that didnt happen, but there's no telling if another song may not have done the job too like say Fighter.

I'd say someone who was aiming for rock credibility, who on the next album and so on gets sent to work with Max Martin, Dr Luke, and other pop producers definitely had to change somewhat

What do her family and child have to do with this? So you're saying P!nk purposely goes for more commercial music than she would organically to be financially secure for her family?
