You have to understand that during the 90s Kim and Foxy were spitting rhymes written by men for men and what men thought ghetto women wanted to hear. Foxy did contribute more talking about fashion and stuff but it wasn't until Broken Silence that she really took control and she was an innovator. The album slays.
My faves are I don't care, tables will turn, bk anthem, the songs that Nicki sampled for curious george and oh yeah.She did this before Sean paul and the reggae/carribean sound took over in 2003.

Eve's first album was good for what is was. her second album with let me blow ya mind was a perfect blend of hip POP.
Missy's supadupa fly and kim's hardcore albums were the first female rap albums i purchased.
Missy is not a great album artist...moreso singles. Lil kim's K.I.M. was overrated. I only used 5 tracks.
Nicki's albums are the only albums that I have used more than 6 songs too.
Take that back, kinda. Lauryn Hill's album i use all but 2 tracks but it technically was not a hip hop album.

Anyways, I am probably older than you. I'm 28 and proud of it. My credentials and accomplishments are already there. I had lucky #7 last month and had to clock some heauxs in defense of Nicki. Now I have 2 and both expire on the 26th and 27th, respectively. Like a boss.
that's why I tell you all it's all strategy make sure your WPs are truly worth it and keep it quiet once you hit 7.
