Saw these posts at Pulse about UK sales:

The album is #20 in the Wednesday mid-week report. If it holds steady at around #20 by Friday's mid-week report, I think it will sell 35k+ again this week. Next week should also see a decent sales week for albums, with Christmas day being early in the week, plenty of people will be buying music with their gift vouchers during the week and will be out shopping spending their Christmas money. The album should be at 130-150k by the end of the year. ;D
And to show how the GH is measuring to her other albums in the UK.

Well for one Hits are very popular in UK, especially when you think that Thankful is not available for most of UK..and who knows how well My December was stocked. Also stronger sold close to 24K week 1, The Hits sold 21.500 and then 22K 2nd week, and has benefit of being a new album around the biggest sales weeks...and the promo helps. It's crazy tho how UKers suppose Greatest Hits records!!!
