I understand that some people thought her "dancing" was insane, but they're missing the point of what Gaga was doing. She was wearing a suit that channeled Bowie and was performing like Mick Jagger while also looking very glam rock. It was about being over the top. There was no "dancing", just her literally having a good time. I think that's why it worked and why critics are praising it. You can tell when someone is genuinely enjoying themselves because that's what makes a good performer.

And this is important, and she knows it. A high profile performance with the most iconic band in history and she DELIVERED. I think she knew she had to go as far as she did with the energy/dancing... it couldn't just be there.

This will remind people that she is actually a unique talent regardless of her public persona, esp when compared to her peers.

I have watched many RS concerts, dont even try to compare it, Micks moves are amazing, actually, his dancing is always spontaneous, natural. Gaga looked stiff and ridiculous.

Amazing vocals, huge stage presence, and and a visibly enjoyable and legendary experience for her. The Bowie tribute with her outfit is subtle but very fitting. There are quite a few Stones fans on twitter who only after this performance realized Gaga could sing her ass off. The sadly uninformed decrease in number every day.

I love and prefer rock music, unlike so many monsters who are preaching about it here. Im a Bowie fan and I also like the Stones, Im familiar with their music and stage presence. I pretty much knew right away what she was trying to do / going for, I just didnt like it. Her dancing came off terribly. She looked ridiculous, like a drunken maenad to me. Thats my opinion and I dont care if you, dear monsters, disagree. I stand by my words

I don't think it was that good at all, I found it way too screechy like she was yelling and her vocals were just way too overdone and try hard. The performance in general just seems very try hard. She had great energy though.

I think she was being over-the-top on purpose because you know she's performing with the Rolling Stones and it's a rock concert. Not to mention performing with The Rolling Stones was one of her and her fathers dream, obviously she's gonna be hyped. She's not gonna have her fatass stand there and sing, albeit her vocals would be better, it'd be quite boring
