What I don't get is why Blown Away is so low on the country albums chart. It should be the #2 album as it outsold Own The Night, Tailgates and Tanlines and Tuskagee this year, rightfully Blown Away should be the #1 album.
I strongly disagree with Taylor being the #1 country artist, she's had success with Ours this year and that's it. Carrie had Good Girl, Blown Away and even Remind Me that all got more airplay than he lead single and Begin Again completely flopped.
I just don't understand how Carrie's so low, she should easily be in the top three for country artists this year, only behind Eric and Luke. I am PISSED. The fact that Carrie basically dominated the country scene this year and Taylor made no appearence just shows how flawed it is.

The chart is November - November, so, the whole 2011 holiday season sales are included.

Calm down babe Since the Queen of Dubstep can make Billboard change the rules, don't you think she can make Billboard fix the results too?

Thing is there's no denying Taylor had a great year, she had an excellent year quite frankly. Ours did extremely well on country radio and really was a strong single.
My problem is Red was promoted as a pop album, the two most successful singles thusfar from the era are both pop singles, while the only country single didn't measure up to her latest set of #1s, and she literally had no impact on the country scene.
Mean while you have Carrie Underwood, who's heart and soul is basically drenched into country - Worked her ass off, started to expand her market, had three smash hits this years, the best selling country album of the year, the longest charting country album of the year, breaking records left and right.. and she gets paid dust. I'm getting sick of all the treatment she gets that she doesn't deserve, she should be praised for being the top female country act this year yet this stupid biased chart is clearly making it so Carrie has no chance.
Carrie seriously needs to release a statement just telling off all these publications for basically screwing her over year after year, when she's already done so much for country.

I believe some of Sparks Fly run was counted as well.
I'm not mad or anything. If we know it's flawed or whatever, why bother getting mad? It's not worth it.

That would get her a lot of negative attention and would look really bad for her image though.

This to be honest.
I'd rather think about her Gospel album and guess which songs she's gonna do.

Taylor is a country artist first of all, her album may be pop country with a lot of crossover and experimental pop songs but i don't see why she shouldn't be the #1 country artist....have you seen Red's sales? Add the singles and crossover success, and there you have it.

She's NOT a country artist anymore.
BTW, since we all decided that we wouldn't use Billboard anymore, why should we care about these rankings? Billboard ranks = mess

I only care about Billboard when they give us sales numbers And fair charts, like the Albums Chart. There's no way you can mess with it.

yep, that's the point
the only way to mess with it is crediting a pop album as a country album tho

Yeah. I haven't listened to Red, so, I can't judge, but based on what I have heard so far (Never, Trouble), classifying the album as Country is

me too and if I remembered right, only a few songs from the album charted in Hot Country Songs Billboard once said they decided whether the song was country or not, so obviously even Billboard couldn't deny that most of her songs from RED were pop
