I've never heard LIGHTS, but a lot of people praise her. I'd love to experience such an intimate concert though, and it sounds like you had a fantastic time!

She's veery underrated around here, I've been checking her repertory lately and it's really good.
Nice to know you enjoyed her gig even though it was a small one.

thanks for all your comments! so much love for LIGHTS, I didn't expect that since I rarely see people talk about her here.

she is quite thin, but she's also not very tall so I'd say it's not too extreme. she seemed happy and healthy to me, I think she's just naturally skinny.

check her out if you have time someday, I think you might like her. those intimate concerts are the best, I much prefer them over big shows. I did!

very true, I think a lot of people don't even know about her to begin with.
thanks! and the fact that it was such a small gig was probably one of the reasons why enjoyed it so much, tbh. I prefer smaller concerts over big ones.

I am not a huge Skrillex fan, I enjoy some of his EPs and remixes, and the main reason I went to this show was curiosity. he gets so much hype and I wanted to know what it was like seeing him live. would he really deliver an amazing set or was he just pressing a few buttons, like some people claim? I was freaking excited to find out.
before the whole thing even started, I was already completely amazed by the venue. usually, Skrillex plays in traditional concert venues, but this was a big nightclub, so it was kinda like going out to your local disco only that this night, Skrillex would be the DJ. that made for a different atmosphere than at other gigs imo, it's hard to describe but there wasn't this barrier between artist and audience. everyone just wanted to have a good time, and Skrillex was there to party with us.
there were two DJs opening, I didn't know the first one but the second one was Alvin Risk. they both delivered okay sets, but of course no one went crazy for them since we were all waiting for Skrillex. then he finally came on, and I had no idea the most intense 3 hours of my life were about to start (yes, he played for three hours!!!).
at first, I was just watching him and bopping to the music, it was great how he transitioned the songs into each other and remixed them right there and then, he played just the right tunes to make the kids go crazy. people were singing/screaming along and of course dancing, there were even a few crowdsurfers, it was really cool.
I don't know when, but at some point I got so infected with the music, I couldn't hold back anymore. I just started full on dancing and jumping around instead of just tapping my foot/nodding my head along, and I didn't stop until the concert was over. my legs, arms, throat, everything started hurting after a while but I just didn't care because I was so lost in the music and the atmosphere. there were lasers and crazy lights, sometimes they showed videos on screens, it made the whole thing even better.
when it was over, I was tired and dehydrated, but I had the time of my life at this gig, something I hadn't even expected, and thinking back to it still makes me smile. oh yeah, I also thought that Skrillex came across as a really nice dude; there was not much interaction with the crowd, but he would sometimes say stuff and he always sounded genuine when he said he was having a fantastic time and that we were a great crowd. before he left, he blew kisses to us, it was so sweet.

Love to read the experience you had with Skrillex.
He is awesome.
I didn't saw him, but I had a "dubstep-only" party recently. It was awesome, although I probably got deaf for a few hours.

yeah, that's the only downside to it. luckily I had earplugs with me, or else the bass would have deafened me
