After seeing her perfomance, I think it was pretty fitting for the occasion BUT my little stan heart can't really take that she ignored giving CMB promo.
So the performances we've got from the UK promo trip were: BOY, BA & CMB

So she did SUBG on some karaoke thing for Ellen, performed BOY and BA in the UK... she clearly needs to promote BTHE and WA sometime before the greatest hits era ends

It fits with the situation. They are the final two and are breaking away from the X factor and starting a journey of their careers.

Who cares about their flop careers? This is about Kelly's and the fact that she just did next to nothing to help her future career in the UK by performing a dusty old ditty.

Eta: did anyone think xfactor probs asked kel to sing BA? She wasn't even on the line up til last week. she got paid, sang to some montage & people saw her face in amongst her flop promo. Better she was on it than not

Well let's face the facts. Kelly has had about 5 successful singles in the UK and she performed one of them.

It would of been silly to do WDKY or MKIA because she did promo for that recently. CMB is flopping hard internationally and doesn't remind people of "Greatest Hits". MLWSWY or BTHE could of been a choice. Everyone is bored of SUBG and she just performed Because of You in the UK. Breakaway reminds people of her MASSIVE era and how many hits should produced back then. It also matches the theme.

I think they made the right choice, it was however a fairly boring performance and kind of felt like they lowered the key. I think a medley would of given the album the Greatest Boost.

Hopefully they're saving some kind of promo for PLU but I'm kind of annoyed with constantly saying "hopefully they're saving promo".. seems like most of it has been a waste for this GH with the lone exception being the AMA's which I think they did perfectly.

I'd have been fine with Breakaway in a medley, but it is ridiculous to have done the entire song and nothing else.

Anyway, I'm done with this topic. CMB will flop and the GH will stay steady as it has been in the UK even before the performance and Breakaway the song will surge and then fall back into oblivion as predicted.

I honestly think she was initially going to do more promo for CMB while in the UK but started having problems with her voice so she has been opting for easier songs.

l don't think they had cmb planned for anything other than what was already sung. it is a greatest hits album so there will be more emphasis on her hits than a new single. sad.

blaming her voice l don't buy, she sang at the grammies after a needle in her ass cause she had no voice/sick & still went for the notes. They planned album promo. seems pretty clear now

It's a bit dishearting to think MKIA & WDKY were some of her biggest international hits; then Dark Side & CMB have been the worst performing international singles in Kelly's career. I can't get over how she's pretty much dropped off the map in Australia after songs like One Minute & Low were hits
