Yes, soldiers are forced to follow orders. What they are not forced to do is:
1) make prisoners strip to complete nudity;
2) put paper bags on their heads;
3) proceed to make photos of them naked;
4) then make them lie down one over the other on the floor so they can make more nice photos and be in the picture too;
5) SMILE INTO THE CAMERA DURING ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED AS IF THEY'RE HAVING THE GREATEST TIME OF THEIR LIFE DOING IT.
As a proud South Korean who was educated in the United States and lived there for a very significant part of my life, I understand the sacrifices American servicemen and women have made to protect freedom and democracy in my country and around the world. The song I was featured in -- from eight years ago -- was part of a deeply emotional reaction to the war in Iraq and the killing of two innocent Korean civilians that was part of the overall antiwar sentiment shared by others around the world at that time," the statement read. "While I'm grateful for the freedom to express one's self I've learned there are limits to what language is appropriate and I'm deeply sorry for how these lyrics could be interpreted. I will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused anyone by those words."
"I have been honored to perform in front of American soldiers in recent months — including an appearance on the Jay Leno show specifically for them — and I hope they and all Americans can accept my apology," the statement concluded. "While it's important we express our opinions, I deeply regret the inflammatory and inappropriate language I used to do so. In my music I try to give people a release, a reason to smile. I have learned that though music, our universal language we can all come together as a culture of humanity and I hope that you will accept my apology."
not particularly relevant considering these things happened years ago, but the US media is just looking for a way to knock him from his pedestal and they've just discovered this so now it's going viral. discuss.
Not relevant? How the hell is this not relevant anymore? You don't just change the opinions? Is he loving America now that he's making money off of us?!
Well, let's see. I liked G-Unit in 5th grade and don't anymore. That's actually less time than between PSY's incident and now. So...yes, you do just change opinions.

The times are different than when Bush was in office, PSY'll probably survive this (as much as a one-hit-wonder would have survived being successful in the US anyways) BUT damn those are some pretty severe comments. Back then, speech was being restricted to a point and it was coming off 9/11 so the country was extremely nationalistic - so it was OTT. I understood why most of the world hated this country back then. Again, the comments are very severe, but it was not much unlike Americans felt about soldiers under Bin Laden.
This really was epic and before its time (the part with Bush lighting his cigar with the grenade is edited out of this)...
Pink...
Did the Dixie Chicks ever come back from the exile? This was their response for the attacks on them for their comments...
