Is this the same poorly managed Nicole we're talking about? When has it been all about her music?
Just look at this year alone, when her tour ended we heard or saw NOTHING from her (except for the occasional "I have a new single coming soon") up until XF. She has from January until August/September to release the album and go on tour. Those few auditions she has to attend and the 3 months of live shows doesn't stop her from doing anything. If Interscope would just manage her well, the music won't interfere with the show. It's all about timing and planning.
Nicole would have been shafted even more by her label if she hadn't been getting these yearly high profile jobs on TV. Plus, she needs the money. Did you forget about Nicole funding her own tour? It was a really small tour and she still paid for it herself. If that doesn't tell you how much her label care for her, I don't know what does. She goes out and makes it happen for herself.

Exactly. ITV tried to make a fool of her by offering her a mere 500k at first and then basically editing her out of the auditions. Nicole showed them up by being the only good thing about the show at the lives so now they need to pay up.
