As for me, this is not true. I enjoyed B'Day because I feel that it defined what became the Beyonce sound. I also feel that B'Day is her most cohesive album. Everything flows generally from beginning to end and it doesn't sound like a mixture of hits for chart presence.
It introduced her as the prime performer of generation for sure

. It was a two week whirlwind of artistic expression for her, and not a meticulously thought out mixing pot of records.
