The fact that Rihanna is #1 with a ballad shows that she is growing as an artist and that her fanbase is following her decision. It's actually beautiful that this completely un-radio-friendly song is #1 on US proving so many people wrong.

BUT!!!!!!! There is no way in H E L L that u can say Diamonds isn't radio friendly!!!! That songs was molded to perfection to become a multi format hit!!! It's slaying on every format, so people saying that she is slaying radio with an unfriendly radio song is bull. Whatever Rihanna releases will smash hard on radio and radio will conform to whatever she releases anyways
