These 5 feelings/moods that I have encompassed successfully describe not only my taste,
but me, and the ways I overall feel and act. I hope you all enjoyed my playlist

First off: I chose to do my all time top 5 songs and because I first started to pay attention to music in 2007 it will be a 2007-2012 top 5, which is all-time to me. Again I visualized my list with graphics. You'll be able to find links to the songs at the bottom of the entry.
I have a emotional connection to each one of these songs, whether it be a happy or a sad one, whether it be having the song as a summer antheme with some friends or a heartbreak.
I hope thats enough for you to understand my list and I'll now let the pictures speak for themselves.
The time my father left for America without turning back
Because of You Lyrics
I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did,
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid
I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with
Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid
The time I found out my friend got diagnosed with HIV
Spinning Lyrics
I'm keeping quiet til there's no more sirens
Lately it's hard to keep the hinges on with all the noise
I'll find my words when there's no one talking
The room is spinning, I have got no choice
Be patient, I am getting to the point.
I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but until then
I'm only spinning
I'm keeping quiet til the phone stops ringing
Lately it's hard to disconnect, I just want something real
I've found the words if I could just stop thinking
The room is spinning, I have got no choice
Be patient, I am getting to the point.
I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but until then
I'm only spinning
Spin beneath the rooftop
Hold on, wait until the room stops
Spinning
I can't remember when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited with the lights turned out again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but in the end
We're only spinning
I keep forgetting when the earth turned slowly
So I just waited til the lights come on again
I lost my place but I can't stop this story
I've found my way, but until then
I'm only spinning
Spinning
Spinning
The time I forever cut off all communications with my mother
Landed Lyrics
We'd hit the bottom
I thought it was my fault
And in a way I guess it was
I'm just now finding out what it was all about
We'd moved to the west coast
Away from everyone
She never told me that you called
Back when I was still, I was still in love
'Till I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's bye-bye, goodbye, I tried
And I twisted it wrong just to make it right
Had to leave myself behind
And I've been flying high all night
So come pick me up, I've landed
The daily dramas
She made from nothing
So nothing ever made it right
She liked to push me
And talk me back down
'Til I believed I was the crazy one
And in a way I guess I was
While I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's bye-bye, goodbye, I tried
Dragging the sea of a trouble mind
Had to leave myself behind
Singing bye bye, goodbye, I tried
If you wrote me off, I'd understand it
'Cause I've been on some other planet
So come pick me up
I've landed
And you will be so
Happy to know
I've come alone
It's over
While I opened my eyes and walked out the door
And the clouds came tumbling down
And it's bye-bye, goodbye, I tried
Down comes the reign of the telephone czar
It's okay to call
And I will answer for myself
Come pick me up
Come pick me up
I've landed
The time the only guy I have ever said I love you to moved to Europe
A Thousand Miles Lyrics
Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces pass
And I'm home bound
Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making a way
Through the crowd
And I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder....
If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
Tonight
It's always times like these
When I think of you
And I wonder
If you ever
Think of me
'Cause everything's so wrong
And I don't belong
Living in your
Precious memories
'Cause I need you
And I miss you
And now I wonder....
If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
Tonight
And I, I
Don't want to let you know
I, I
Drown in your memory
I, I
Don't want to let this go
I, I
Don't....
Making my way downtown
Walking fast
Faces pass
And I'm home bound
Staring blankly ahead
Just making my way
Making a way
Through the crowd
And I still need you
And I still miss you
And now I wonder....
If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass us by
'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you...
If I could fall
Into the sky
Do you think time
Would pass me by
'Cause you know I'd walk
A thousand miles
If I could
Just see you
If I could
Just hold you
Tonight
The time I realized no other song can perfectly sum up my life experiences
We Found Love Lyrics
Yellow diamonds in the light
And we're standing side by side
As your shadow crosses mine
What it takes to come alive
It's the way I’m feeling I just can't deny
But I've gotta let it go
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
Shine a light through an open door
Love and life I will divide
Turn away cause I need you more
Feel the heartbeat in my mind
It's the way I'm feeling I just can't deny
But I’ve gotta let it go
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
Yellow diamonds in the light
And we're standing side by side
As your shadow crosses mine...
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
We found love in a hopeless place
DAANNNG. This challenge, y'all all brought it. Seriously, I'm impressed.
Boyonce, I hope you're not targeting me I kept it rather short on text, I think.
The music definitely did the talking for me, I just briefly described what it meant to me is all.
I'm going to listen to every single song from every entry when I'm done watching Grey's Anatomy.
This ranking is going to be so difficult though
Also: Matty, thanks for changing Die Young from the lyric video to official
I wrote up some praise for y'all while I listened. My decisions have been entered
Boyonce:
I haven't heard most of these songs, they're beautiful!
The many generations show a respectable span of tastes for you
I don't really like any of the songs myself, but that's beside the point.
Some amazing ballad jams are portrayed here; a very nice body of work!
Edge:
Very different by using live performances! I thought about that, amazing application
of it, though. There are a lot of very contrasting songs in here, I like that.
The memory inclusion really told a lot about you. Pure, stripped down and versatile
PS: I was really close to using A Thousand Miles. I can't believe she appeared
two different times in this challenge, what kind of iconic impact? She deserves it, though.
VJoker:
Some very nice anthems on here I have used all of these songs a lot.
I can see the varying connections you'd have with each song.
They all embody something a little different, which is cool
PS: Scheisse... what kind of single snub?
Energy: Your dance song reeled me in immediately. What kind of jam?
Don't understand the point of "D.R.E.A.M." but the songs were a great arrangement!
I saw another side of you through this challenge, very cool. Much respect!
PS: your ruckus point was just like my outlandish one - an interesting line-up between us
I've never listened to Natalia's new work, I might be here for her this era
Couldn't **** The Pain Away also fit under ruckus, tho? And Sober in emotion?

Thank you collin I enjoyed your entry also.
The purpose D.R.E.A.M. was to reflect on how I always pictured what this time of my life would be like, when I was younger, and now that I'm living that "dream" it's more complicated that I thought. And I used some of my all time favorite songs to reflect that
#1 Was for my love of being with friends, dancing and just having a good, wholesome time and joking around. #2 Is for the controversies and craziness teens are exposed to and participate in and how society was a big influence in highschool for me. #3 Is for my boyfriend. We have been dating 3 years and I am deeply in love, and I just want to run into his arms everytime I see him. #4 Is for my raging hormones during those years and how sexuality seemed to be motivation for alot of my actions, and how I felt at times like I was behaving like an animal, instead of a civilized individual. #5 Was for me coming to the realization that I don't need sex, drugs, and alcohol to be happy like alot of my friends do. Lately I have been on a journey to find my true self, and focus on making a positive difference being abstinent from those types of things.

Yas Our entries are like brother and sister, tbh
However, yours is more of a journey and mine is like puzzle pieces of a whole, in essence.
At first, I was going to try to do "C.O.L.I.N." because imagine the messiness?
Plus, like... the adjectives for each letter were terrible and reaching to the heavens
Also, a raging applause for your sober self-actualization! Not everyone can do that.
I may smoke all the time, but I've already proved to myself that it's not a problem for me
I like to be a part of that rare crowd of smokers that isn't a hopeless bum.
It's certainly not a dependency for me - I don't really understand how people let it run their lives

Thanks so much
I have yet to send in my best and worst. They all are so good
collin, thanks for the kind words about my entry. If you truly haven't heard most of my songs before, do yourself a favour and ignore the Billboard charts for a bit and listen to all the Whitney, Celine, and Fleetwood Mac you can. So many ATRLers get so caught up in what's #1 at this moment, and never stop to think about music history and where all of this came from and why our faves are doing what they're doing right now.
And Energy, I liked that you included a song for your BF. I've been with my guy for almost 6 years now, and although long term relationships can be a lot of work, but totally worth it. You know when you've found the one.
Thanks collin for your kind words.
I like how you take the time to comment on each entry.
Let me do the same:
Boyonce:
Oh I dont know a single song of those.
I like how you explore older music. I never got into old music, it just doesnt seem fresh and I love fresh things.
You really seem to like songs with strong voices and more of a R&B sound.
Nice entry!
Energy:
I really like your theme. So creative.
I actually now the chorus of "Groove Is In The Heart" from somewhere.
Controversy.
Good entry!
collin:
I like your theme!
I already knew before that you would choose a Kesha song. I only know Die Young out of these.
You also seem to have a open-minded music taste.
You did great!
Edge:
Your entry is really simple but tells so much about you.
I hope your fine now, thats some heartbreaking things you went through.
The live performances really show the emotions behind the songs.
Nice entry!
I know my entry won't be judged, but I'm honestly considering posting here what my entry would have been if I were still in. This challenge has been my favorite of the cycle so far.
