They would rather have a cohesive album
Nicki probably put everything she recorded onto PF:RR, but it has far too much filler on it and that personally stops me listening to the album all the way through

Having all the good songs officially released and the filler leaked is better imo

But when they wrote them, they were supposed (or had a chance) to be on the album, so it's stupid to write songs that wouldn't fit on the album you're working on.
