adsaskindasdas @ you not getting what I said at all. I meant we are all GAY, not the SAME PERSON, i.e. personality and etc. I'm saying if we can't accept all gay people no matter personality, then why should the majority of people in society accept us no matter sexuality?

Well how about you hide in a little cave then where you can feel safe from all the masculine girls and feminine boys breaking heteronormative standards!

This is like telling a non-fem gay to not like boys, because you are a man, not a girl.

Nope, exaggeration either way for attention is annoying. It's just that this thread specifically asked about feminine gay men. I dislike when people try to be something they're not because they think it will get them attention or they think it will make them look cool. It's sad that people can't just be themselves without being so afraid of what others think. Again, if someone really is very masculine or feminine then more power to them, but there are times when you really can tell that someone is just acting in an exaggerated manner for attention. I know several gay guys who act overly masculine so people don't assume they're gay, as they're not completely out of the closet, and others who act overly feminine for attention.

Gender roles were created by society, they're not natural. There is no "acting like a man" or "acting like a girl" at the end of the day. I'm a girl who is into more "boyish" things. I like science, which is thought to be a mans field. I like rock music. I like video games. These are thought to be sterotypically male things. Are you going to tell me I need to act like a girl and stop being interested in these things? Should I suddenly become interested in makeup and fashion because those are "acceptable girly things" and I need to because I have a vagina and that apparently dictates how I live my life?

My friends do this all the time. Especially this really lost/confused one. He feels the need to take jabs at this out gay kid at my school every time he sees him to prove his masculinity and heterosexuality.
