Those were label forecasts. Prognosticators thought Katy's album would rival Eminem's first week sales in 2010. They shouldn't be taken too seriously, especially with a trend like Rihanna's.
These labels are... Confident in their artists these days it would seem...
I don't remember. Was Interscope's forecast saying Gaga would pull a million in advance of the release (before the Amazon deal) or what?

I don't remember any official projections.. I do remember a Billboard article saying UMG bumped their projections up to 800-850k the first Amazon discount, meaning it wasn't any higher than what she would've minimally sold without the extra 440k. The article mentioned they were hesitant in releasing their expectations after Katy failed to meet the 500-700k people projected her to do.

carrie is coming to top 10.
and why any performance of x factor are i top1000?
it's really flopping?
It's kind of weird, because the performances are never in the iTunes Top 1000, but the original versions of the songs usually rise. I remember during the auditions when Jennel Garcia performed Grace Potter's "Paris (Ooh La La)", the original reached around the 40s on iTunes.
