Taylor’s album tracks did better than I expected, though before the album actually came out I guessed 6 new charters (just 1 more than the actual 5). While 22’s final iTunes ranking during the tracking week *2 became its Hot 100 ranking, Almost/Everything’s final iTunes rankings were almost identical to their positions, and All Too Well having been ahead of Stay until the lower-selling days actually gave it a higher position than its final iTunes ranking. A more typical kind of fall gave a 3 multiplier for the first Nashville charter.
Opening-week tracks, aside from T10s: White Horse Digital 5*2.5=Hot 100 13
Ours 5*2.5=13
Sparks Fly 8*2=17
Untouchable 9*2=19
Superman 13*2=26
Innocent 12*2=27
Forever & Always 23*2=49 22 7*6=44
Other Side of the Door 11*2=23
Superstar 14*2=26
Come in with the Rain 18*1.7=30
Story of Us 18*2=41
Dear John 25*2=54
Better than Revenge 29*2=56
Haunted 38*1.7=63 I Almost Do 10*6.5=65
Last Kiss 42*1.7=71
Way I Loved You 36*2=72
Enchanted 44*1.7=75
Never Grow Up 51*1.65=84
Long Live 54*1.6=85
Multiplier went from mostly 2ish to 6ish, aside from the very top/bottom. I thought it would be more like 4ish.
Being #10 digitally now isn’t as good as being #38 in 2010, and being #7 digitally does not guarantee T40 overall. She should get 3 more charters inc a T40 or maybe 2 with the bonus track releases 4th quarter next year.
