Blake Shelton To Tape Christmas Special with Special Guests in Los Angeles

Earlier this week, we told you that Blake Shelton was offering one lucky fan an exclusive opportunity to fly to Los Angeles to attend a private television taping with Mr. Shelton himself. We’ve learned that Blake will be joined by Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire and his mom, Dorothy Shackleford, at this taping, which just may get attendees into the holiday spirit a little early this year. The special will air on NBC (Date TBA), and is entitled “Blake Shelton’s Not So Family Christmas Special.”

Expect to hear songs from Blake’s Holiday album, Cheers, It’s Christmas, which features all those lovely ladies. They technically may all not be Blake’s family, but we have to laugh, as he’s enlisted his wife, his mom, and his manager’s step-mom and girlfriend. I don’t know about you, but that sounds pretty dang “family” to me!

Last year Michael Buble and Justin had their own Christmas specials on NBC. I think Michael's was more like a concert type of a thing.

Either way, KC on TV during the holidays... always a good thing Especially with her GH coming out.

They usually are like a concert with short interviews and sometimes some skits. With Blake having his wife, mom, his manager's step-mom and girlfriend... I would love some skits, lol. That whole group sure likes the drinky drink

So just for conversational purposes, here's something to discuss. I'd always had this feeling that Kelly had been hung up on Brandon for quite a while and then the Seacrest interview sorta confirmed that for me. That made think a little differently about songs that Kelly has written since MD onward.

How I Feel? Can I Have A Kiss? If I Can't Have You? Dirty Little Secret? Song To You?

This is only a casual list that's probably only scratched the surface and I'm not saying they are 100% about him/the situation but could be inspired by him/it. Did we figure out one of her muses? Can anyone think of any others or disagree with any of those songs? Thoughts?

hmm interesting thought. It sounded like in that Seacrest interview she was like she was massively interested but when she found out he was married took the step back. Doesn't stop her from thinking about it & she could've been inspired by Brandon. Makes dirty little secret sound ten times dirtier but even then, there's a side to me thinking she was probably drawing from past experiences.
