Anytime You Need a Friend - I like this song, but it deserved its ranking. 
Don't Forget About Us - Tbh, it should've been out a little earlier. 
Fly Like a Bird - I like this song, but it deserved its ranking.
Heartbreaker - Should've top ten. This song is such a bop. 
Make it Happen - Should've been out before Anytime You Need a Friend. 
Dreamlover - I like this song, but it deserved its ranking.
It's Like That - Should've been top ten instead of Emotions or some other song. 
Breakdown - Strangergab, wtf?
Fantasy (Bad Boy Remix) - The original should've been out before this.
We Belong Together - Mess.

I never got why people deemed butterfly such a great ballad. Don't get me wrong. I love it. But what makes it so different from her mid 90s music box ballads?

It's Like That, Breakdown, Fantasy.
I was so hoping for one or two of those to slip into the top 10. Ugh.
Breakdown deserved top 3, truly.

The hits on Butterfly keep coming, as its title track - arguably Mariah's last deserved Female Pop Vocal Performance nomination (take that It's Like That!) - leaves us, somewhat prematurely. It is a cut above the vast majority of Mariah's ballads (although it's not the best; that's still in play) because of how much raw passion she invests it in; the callouts to her gospel past are well-appreciated, and it builds to a moment of pure emotion. Gorgeous, and sadly underrated.

Hope that answers it. It just feels different, way more personal. (The fact that it leans 60/40 on the R&B/Adult Contemporary spectrum, as opposed to the 10/90 of Hero and Without You, also plays a part.)

I understand Hero and Without You are your typical cliche 90s pop middle of the road ballads, but I don't understand when the majority says the butterfly is to a much higher level of quality than my all.
Just my opinion.
