First half of the episode was really disappointing me, but then they freakin' kicked it into high gear! Super excited to see how the rest of the season turns out.
This is how I feel as well. Even Peters and Lily Rabe did an great job.

The 5 minute preview didn't leave me feeling particularly enthused, but the full episode certainly restored my faith. Looks to be a delicious blend of all things creepy.

I thought last season's premiere was more intriguing. it was certainly more campy, which is one of the things I love about this show.
I liked the premiere, but there are some story aspects that I'm just...not that into at the outset (alien abduction? ). but all of the acting (and writing) was a lot stronger here compared to last season.
Love the new storylines - the contradiction of religion and science with aliens. Very interesting, especially as it's in the 60's. I also love how it's so different from last season. Can not wait for the rest.

I really enjoyed it, up until the moment when the woman commits her girlfriend into the asylum after being threatened by Jessica Lange. It simply didn't ring true at all. Nobody would do that just to save their job.

I can't really see anyone doing that either, but then again, I feel like there are a lot of things on this show that you kind of just have to go along with. still, it wouldn't just be her job - she would become a social pariah.
