I love me some alt-rock like no other, it's my favorite genre, so I'll probably love the production on this song, but I'm not here for Taylor's distorted vocals this era. Hey Taylor I like your voice the way it is I don't need you to hide any flaws with crazy effects.

30 seconds for two lines. LOL bring that 15 min song!

PS I don't see why the final promo song would have any great affect on the country base purchasing the album. I'll be able to hear all 16 songs in full on Monday and make my decision then. Which is probably going to be purchasing select singles at the rate this is going.

I agree the lyrics we've had so far have been a bit repetitive. But we've only heard 4 songs so far, and 5 by tonight. And we have 14 more to go, I have high hopes.

I agree, I don't think it screams masterpiece or anything but it's only one line. I'm just excited because to me, it seems like a more adult, suggestive line that's a departure from the typical Taylor lyrics that we've come to expect.

The SOG preview was a little bit disappointing, but still hopeful. Her voice thinned out the second part of it. You could almost here her struggle to hit the note. For me, I'm not feeling the heavy drums. But, this will probably get better once I hear the whole song. I like the rest of the music , the way that the song feels is very unique. I love the concept of the album, and I think SOG is a perfect song to start it off. Putting BS as the last song is perfect as well. I really think that this song is going to be epic, tbh. They honestly couldn't have picked a worse clip to preview, lol. That was more than likely intentional though. So far from the previews BA>>>>IKYWT>>>SOG>>>>>Red. By tonight SOG will replace IKYWT tbh

Yeah seriously there's nothing like "a careless man's careful daughter" on this album so far. There doesn't seem to be any of her sweet, thoughtful storytelling either. They just seem like average lyrics and when compared to Taylor's previous works average scares me. But there's a lot to hear still so I'm still holding out for hope. But the songs she's given us as previews do give me pause since those are the ones that we're supposed to get hyped up over the album from. Even Speak Now (the song) had flashes of lyrical greatness.

I like that too. I also like the sonic diversity in the album which is a good thing in a 16 song album. I am worried about not releasing a song that is not a relationship song ala Mean and Fifteen. I don't know how smart that is when you are going to release maybe 5 or 6 songs on an album unless she switches up the single choices. It is something that she needs to work on if she wants longevity. That should be a discussion and focus for the next album.

Speak Now actually played while I was eating at McDonalds awhile ago and...oh wow. It sounds so good and a smash hearing it loud and everything outside my iphone. Now I get you guys when you're disappointed it wasn't released.
