Yes, it's a rock-fan thing. If you cover one of their anthems you're bound to get bashed by them. But I'm sure pop fans wouldn't be so aggressive if a rock act covered a pop song.

I hope not.. the hype of being "the telephone sequel" could benefit a third or fourth single more than the first, which would benefit from hype regardless of what it was.

If I were her, I'd save the hype for the 2nd or 3rd single, where it's actually needed.

It'd be smart to have it as the 3rd single, because that's when things will need a boost. It'd be amazing if she could pull off a VMA medley with Paparazzi/Telephone and the third instalment. The hype would be mental.
