I thought for sure Taylor was ahead of 1D. Oh well, she'll get her record-breaking sixth #1 HDS debut with "I Knew You Were Trouble." then.

Well, One Direction did have Amazon, not sure how much, but it probably gave them a boost.

Amazon hardly accounts for anything. I just think some Tay stans celebrated too early. That chartnews tweet hardly alluded to her selling more for the #1.

Billboard: "Thanks to her collaboration with Owl City, "Good Time," Jepsen spent 27 straight weeks in the Hot 100 top 10. (That streak ends this week as "Good" slips to No. 11.)"
If only there weren't 3 debuts in the Top 10

I don't know what to say... really.
I mean not even my huge stanning for One More Night (always adored it) could make me unsee the irony and the awkwardness of it constantly blocking a world-wide phenomenon like Gangnam Style (which I find hilarious and funny and which is as dignified to go to number one as Party Rock Anthem was; both are fun carefree songs perfect to dance to and have good time in dorky ways).
Guess this fully makes up for Payphone being denied the top honor.
But I hope Psy gets at least one week up there.
It would be nice to see a Korean up the top, to shake things up a bit

I just realized... CMM blocked a smash song (Payphone) So OMN is returning the favor by blocking a smash. (Gangnam Style)
