"Hotel Transylvania" had a scary good day at the domestic box office Monday, thanks to kids out of school for Columbus Day. The Sony toon holdover grossed $4.7 million that day, representing a whopping 159% increase over the pic's same-day gross last week.
Fox's "Taken 2" still had enough of a lead throughout the weekend to stay at No. 1 during the holiday, with $5.5 million, for a domestic cume of $55 million.
Columbus Day isn't normally considered a major holiday for moviegoing, though it can provide a welcome mid-fall surge, especially for family fare.
Even with recent family competition from Disney's "Frankenweenie," which grossed $1.7 million Monday, "Hotel" has tallied an impressive $81.4 million after 11 days domestically; toon's cumed nearly $115 million worldwide. "Hotel" faces sizeable family competish come Nov. 2, when Disney bows "Wreck-It-Ralph."
"Hotel" still showed surprising resilience toward "Frankenweenie" last weekend, dropping just 36%. The Disney toon, meanwhile, struggled in its opening frame, with just $11.4 million, for a domestic cume of $13.1 million."

OMG!!! You and me think alike! I've been wanting Selena to sex up her image like Britney did during those eras and beef up her performance level! Imagine how many peoples lives she would slay!

That Spring Breakers twitter account is so confused and clearly doesn't know crap about the movie.
But I think the trailer's date is close to November. Ashley once said said it will come out closely after the movie premieres in film festivals.
