IKYWT is a great pop song. The "saddest fear ... you never loved me or her or anything" bit is a bit melodramatic though, and takes me out of the song. Same as the part in Dear John where she says his exes have "tired, lifeless eyes".
I like that Esquire interview - I wish more interviewers would be straight with Taylor. She has a great sense of humor and can take it.
