Never tried Taylor guitars. But her acoustic ones are made from Koa woods. Other than Les Paul, I can't comment on Her electric collections. But damn the Lord Her taste in guitars. Very expensive.

She has a white electric too. And a 12 string electric version of the one she used during Mine. And a couple of other T5s. Idk she has a lot if guitars. None compare to her Koi guitar though. That one is flawfree.

And I'd definitely start out with a regular sized guitar with nylon or lighter gauged strings.

OR get a Uke, they're amazing and I love mine 100000x more than my guitars.

Are Taylor guitars nice? I'm interested to get one, semi-hollow T3. Looking so good. Btw, her Les Paul seems like a version of Les Paul Deluxe model. Idk how I mistaken that for the Alex's signature model.

Opening line "Loving him was like driving a new Maserati down a a dead end street" is a lyrical nadir for her. Ouch. "Fighting him was like trying to solve a crossword and realizing there's no right answer." C'mon, Taylor, you can do better than that.

On further listens, I think that the Auto-Tuned "re-re-red" hook is not so awful, but actually sort of devilishly catchy. My real problem remains with lyrics, which abandon her usual carefully observed concrete imagery for a string of clichés. It's hard to believe that the person who wrote "Our Song" and "Tim McGraw" at age 16 wrote "Red" at age 22. I do have to agree with mbleicher that celebrity has taken her away from her lyrical strengths. Her carefully observed accounts of life as a teenage everygirl made her a star; now that she's a star, however, she doesn't have the ordinary experiences to draw on that led to songs such as "Our Song" and "Teardrops on My Guitar" - now she's writing about boys who are "like driving a Maserati down a dead end street," not about the boy who sat next to her in math class. The boy who sat next to her in math class inspired the better song.

Seriously Taylor? Maserati? 99% of your audience will not relate. It worked when Joe Walsh did it, but I am pretty sure he was being funny.

Unusually for Taylor, "Red" is so unspecific and bland, lyrically, that it could be a total work of fiction. There's nothing in the lyrics that rings true. It's a lyric "for the meat market," as John Lennon said, and the so-so (for Swift) melody doesn't do enough to justify it. In fact, juvenility aside, WANEGBT was the stronger song between; that song has a textbook infectious hook and lyrics that, at the least, ring true for a certain age group. This—this could be written by anyone. And the colors-similes thing is pretty awful.

I hope so. However not sure how she is going to handle the release if the response is overwhelming. It has to be something that can be played on both Country and Pop which I think Red is capable of doing. A purely Pop song will run into the same problem as WANEGBT smash on Pop radio and die on Country. I don't want another dual release mess. It will be interesting to see if Red, IKYWT and the final promo song make it as singles from the album.

Super nice. I've only owned Fenders myself. I actually really want a Gibson Humming Bird. <3 I like interesting designs or colors on guitars. Idk!

I loved RED for the first 48 hours but now that I've recovered I don't know how I feel about it. It's better than WANEGBT by far for me and I would much rather it be the lead single than that, I adore the banjo and fiddle parts, but I can't stand the ed-ed-ed-ed and I'm very disappointed in the generic lyrics and metaphors.

I still think Begin Again is a peach though so I'm not all negative nelly right now!

nnnnn; you're a guitar freak too? I bet your Fenders are mostly teles, knowing you're pretty big on Country.

And Gibsons are quite pricey. But worth their price since their quality has always been top-notch.
