Because most of the threads that become extremely popular in a short amount of time are breaking some rule.
Closing threads because certain members can't behave themselves in them is ridiculous. Let them get warned and banned.

I get it that the mods kinda want to spare them,
but closing the thread doesn't solve anything.
Trolls will keep trolling no matter what.
