Only good thing about them is they will help my grade. Not like that'll do me any good, though. Not about to take out a loan to go to college so I can spend ~10 years paying it off little by little and end up paying more than I borrowed from interest
And that was my second rant of the day. I would say a lot more, but I found that I am a minority when it comes to that subject. I should just stay quiet...

I chose that username, because "Loco" means "Crazy" in spanish, and I decided that at least part of my username should be in spanish, to show my mexican origins and how proud am I of them.
Also crazy is a word that defines me pretty good, because if I am on the correct mood, I could be really crazy

Well, it is a combination of 2 names, actually.
Hugo
I like the sound of this name. It's short and exotic sounding to me. It also happened to be my favorite Street Fighter character (but I stan for Mortal Kombat )
Temari
She was my favorite Naruto character from the first time I saw her. I have always had an obsession with fans, so I gasm'd when I saw this girl.
But, it goes deeper than that. As time has passed, people have shortened it to simply "Hug". This nickname portrays my personality very well, because I am a very kind and welcoming person. I do not discriminate against anyone. I have come to love the nickname "Hug" that has been bestowed upon me, and take pride in it.

I chose this as my username because I believe music instruments, vocals, dancing, etc, are ways humans have learned to share this energy in a positive way and identify it.
Here on ATRL, the members have a tendency to gravitate towards certain energies, pop music to be exact, and we discuss all of our personal interpretations of that energy on this website.
It describes who I am because I am a big fan, of music, dancing, human interactions, and artistic expression.

My username “team zune XD” represents essentially my usage of the Microsoft product “Zune” as my music device and my committed relationship to having my Zune as my source to listen to the music I own. The device history and me began back in 2007 when my dad bought me “Zune”. I was soon impressed by the beauty of the device. I loved the large album/singles covers it would display on its wide screen over an ipod. It was also my first device that didn't involve a separate SD chip to load on music. Even when my original “Zune” had “died” from being under my soaking running clothes (it was at the bottom of my backpack and above it was the sweaty clothes.) I then continued with the “Zune” device and bought a “Zune HD” since its features and design made me love the device even more. From the time the “Zune HD” came out, the “Zune” brand was dying out since the mp3 market was dissolving as well. It was in those times I would need/want to standby my “Zune” device even more. So even into this day, being a member of ATRL, I still stan for my “Zune” device over the ipod/iphones, which is where the “team zune” portion is in my username. As for the XD, I embrace my device with joy which is where “XD” came from. I always find myself as a happy person too, so being happy as a team member of zune forms my username of “team zune XD”.
As for selecting this as my official username of ATRL, a device that was a part of my musical world in my mindset when signing up for ATRL had to somehow involve my favorite music device. There are a few things that should be noted about joining ATRL. Firstly this was my first forum site I have ever joined within my online history, so my usage for usernames only go back to email accounts. Secondly, I had been fishing around the site for about a year before I joined and I knew when I signed up for ATRL, I would need a username that would be significant within the context of this site. Finally, when I think about listening and being exposed to music, I often will end up placing it on the Zune in the end to listen to it. The device itself has been with me through my life’s highs and the lows as in real life I was going through drama, deaths, High School and some College. On a post before the results I had asked the other members for movie suggestions since all I ever really do in my free time is listen or compose music. These thoughts in the end is what made me choose “team zune XD” as a username that would, in my opinion at the time, make me stand out differently in this community and to show my appreciation for my favorite music device that helps expose my ears to that of my favorite music artists and for the half a decade of time I spent with the device.
Thank you and I hope you guys enjoyed my piece

Believe it or not, my username actually took me a long time to think up. I'm a pretty creative person, but I second guess myself a lot. The first time I went to apply for ATRL, the username question stumped me. Should I just use my email address? Should I make it something like "Nicki 4 Life" or "Katy's Pussy Kat"? Nothing I came up with really seemed good enough.
One thing I try to avoid is being tacky. That's where second guessing myself comes in… I may think something is a great idea one day but then take a second look at it and the first word that always comes to my mind is "tacky". I hate the thought of doing something just to be funny and ending up looking like a try hard. I question myself all the time, and picking my username was no different, so I kept debating in my mind.
I decided to keep things simple. Ethan is my name, people on the forum will know what to call me and it's not some phase I will outgrow (by now "Nicki 4 Life" would have been really inappropriate as that woman is one wrong career move away from being out of my signature). I'm not an outrageous personality (although I have gotten a little carried away on the ANTM thread), so a wacky username wouldn't have worked; ethan works because it's simple, just like me.

It's the main reason I joined ATRL, so I could have a place to took about music.
Over the years, my music taste continues to grow and evolve. I now have 1646 songs on my iPod and over 460 artists, and they range from Britney Spears to an abundance of DJ's or even one of my high school friends. It also helped bring me out of my shell, because I'd go to all of my high school dances, sing at Open Mike club, participate in dance offs, singing at graduation, and most importantly - doing choir for a year in a half - where I ended up winning an award at the annual Choir Banquet the year I joined and then performing there at the next one.
Music has been a huge part of my life over the last 5 years, and my username represents that. As my choir teacher said - I have an internal love for music.

My Last FM, "collynx" a mixture of my name and a lynx (due to my unnoticed love of cats). Even some other names I have used, "xxzxcuzxcollin" was a mix of my name and a favorite song of mine long ago. It's never as easy as putting my own name.
I'm Collin, and so is my username. It sums me up in the simplest way possible. I was thrilled when it wasn't taken, that never happens. Unlike others on ATRL, I like to maintain individuality through presentation and not just text. I have nothing against people who have avis of their faves and what not - I just prefer being me!

The story of my username starts some years ago as I was a kid (I was around 11 years old at that time I think). My older brother and his friends started to play a browser game at that time. Some days later he got me to play it too and I got to use the account of one of his friends. The game also had a ranking list. The highest player on that list had the name "VioletJoker". Soon we got over that game.
Then one of my friends found another nice looking browser game. This time I had to make my own account and I didnt know any good Nicknames. As uncreative as I was at that time I took the name "VioletJoker" and changed it a bit to VJoker. Since I liked the name VJoker and V is the first letter of my last name. (Oh by the way my brother took another high-players username "Neco" and changed it to Nekus. )
With time I got used to VJoker and now I use it actually everywhere because its still available nearly everywhere.
I dont really like to tell that story since it shows how uncreative and how much of a copycat I was.
I still didnt want to lie about the story of my username just to get a higher rating in this challenge though.
Thats the end of my story I think.
I still think my username is flawless and easy to remember.

-- The Canterbury Tales
I have so many connections to my username but I will whittle down to three.
First, I have a weird fascination with the seven deadly sins ever since I've read the Canterbury Tales and got to gain more insight behind each sin. You can see my favorite quote above from the Canterbury Tales. Sloth, for whatever reason, stuck out to me the most (probably because it's the sin I commit the most ). One of my favorite movies of all time, Se7en, also features the seven deadly sins as a storyline. In a way, my username represents my love for mythology and movies.
Second, sloths are the cutest animals to grace planet Earth. I am instantly slayed every time I see a sloth, they are just too much. I'm more obsessed with sloths than Kristen Bell and that's saying something. I mean, how can you watch this and not die from cuteness?
Ever since developing an obsession with sloths, I have used 'Sloth' as a brand identity for all websites online. If you see a username 'Sloth' or a variation thereof (slothly, slothle, sl0th, etc), it's most likely me.
And finally, it reflects who I am as a person. I am incredibly lazy like I mentioned previously however it doesn't transcend to online forums but you can catch a glimpse of my indolence from time to time. This may be perceived as a negative connotation but it is part of who I am and I'm definitely not perfect.

He sat in the class, working alongside his best friend Chelsea as they excitedly chatted about the upcoming weekend until suddenly...
"AMMER!" boomed a voice from the back, it was the class comedian, a well liked student of the school, "I mean, sorry, I said your name wrong! But Ammer sounds cool. Ammer. AMMER. AMMER JAMMER!"
"AMMER JAMMER!" yelled another one of his friends.
"AMMER JAMMER!" yelled a third.
"This is hilarious," he thought, "It'll probably never catch on,"
But before he knew it, students from across his grade had begun calling him "Ammer Jammer". As a student concerned with fitting in, he could not have been more happy. He was always well liked, but this nickname made him known across classes.
Present Day, 11 years later
At 23 years old, I found the name "Ammer Jammer" to be absolutely ridiculous and laugh whenever I think back to how it all began. Once I started dabbling into internet forums for music, I decided to use a name which would separate me from the rest of the users and would also hold some positive meaning. As I pride myself on being a mature member of ATRL, I dropped the "Jammer" as I felt "Jammer" held onto the childish memories from my past. "Ammer" however felt revitalized, born again, and in a way, a more "grown up" version of the boy I was and the mature person I want to become. In short, Ammer in a sense represents who I was, who I am now, and who I'll continue to be.

There is no way that I could look anything close to that because I'll be damned if I'm going to wake up every morning and spend 40 minutes spraying and teasing my hair to the point where I look like Sonic the Hedgehog.
I chose TheSeenScene as a username a couple years ago for a different forum, and it's stuck with me since. While it's simple, it makes me stand out. Kind of mirroring what I'm trying to do in real life - break out of my shell and get to know more people and experience new things.
I feel like if I break out of my shell here on ATRL and in the competition, that will be a good step towards reinventing myself as a more confident person. I feel my username will help me stand out and attain that goal.

Simply put, Boyonce = "Beyonce" + "boy", but my username on ATRL is more than just some cute word play.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have a confession. This is a truth that I've never told a soul on ATRL. I hope you're sitting down...
I'm actually Boyonce 2.0. Meet the original...
Yes, this is my first time actually confessing this - but I totally stole my name from my cat (shhh - don't tell him). When we adopted the big fellow (all 23 pounds of him) we knew we wanted some name Beyonce related, since my boyfriend and I are both huge fans. But since he was a boy, we couldn't justify Sasha Fierce. Thus, BOYonce was born. The name was an instant hit, with friends finding great amusement in it, and our vet even proclaiming it "the best name" she's ever heard for a pet.
When it came time to sign up for ATRL, I wanted something related to Beyonce, and looked no further than the great nickname I had already come up with. Yes, I proceeded to totally steal my cat's name. I was sure the name would be met on ATRL the same way it's been met with others I know irl, they think it's clever, light hearted, funny, yet appropriate.
But the story doesn't end there...
Months ago, totally unaware, I clicked on the "Messiest Username" thread that had just been started in The Lounge - excited to see who was being discussed. Much to my shock and dismay, I began seeing post after post naming "Boyonce" as one of the messier usernames on ATRL. People seemed to find my name odd, strange, tacky, and this was complete news to me. Naturally, I did what every self respecting ATRLer would do: I pulled out my credit card and promptly bought ATRL+, for the name change option alone.
However, as I began to consider what to change it to - I realized that I just couldn't bring myself to do that. Boyonce had been my username on here since I started, and represented the reputation I had worked so hard to gain with every post I made. So what if others didn't like it? I've never been one to cave to what others want/expect from me, and I certainly wasn't about to start now. As a top member of ATRL, your reputation (one could even look at it as branding) should be very important to you. I'm proud of the fact that others view me as intelligent, kind, mature, logical, but also fun - and I believe that the quality posts I make on this site reflect that. When people see the name "boyonce" some may consider it "messy", but most think of the poster they know I am. I pride myself on staying out of drama, avoiding personal attacks, and stanning for my fave but doing it respectfully. If I were to change my name because others thought it wasn't a good username, I'd have to work hard to re-establish my new identity and regain the positive reputation on ATRL I'm proud to have.
But don't take it from me - here's what some fellow posters have to say on "Who is Boyonce?"
"Boyonce is sweet, attractive, and a genuine good person" - Ammer
"Boyonce is old" - Patri
"Boyonce is flawless in all ways" - Hollywood
"Boyonce is wise, fun, and crazy" - yourfavefan
Like my name or hate my name, it's who I am. After being conscious of the quality, intellect, and kindness in the posts I make here, it's part of my reputation and I'm not changing it because some consider it messy and start from scratch again building what others think when they see my name. In fact, I'm keeping it the way it is, and doing everything I can with every post I make to further cement myself as a positive and kind poster - or in other words, a top member.

Leave me alone. It was playing in the office earlier today and I was inspired.
EdgeOfAddiction was, I believe, the username of my 5th and final attempt at signing up for ATRL before I was finally accepted. My first four lackluster usernames were so uninspired that I am glad I wasn't accepted immediately in retrospect.
Personally, I am extremely proud of my username. After being paid dust more times than Britney at the VMAs, I became annoyed and set out to register once again. I don't know what came over me but I decided to be more creative and set out to create the perfect one for me.
...and it only took a little over five days.
I wanted my username to encompass my strong, yet guarded personality and to represent the love of my favs, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and Lady GaGa. It is very important to note that at the time of conception, my favorite song was The Edge of Glory, the video of We Found Love premiered a few weeks prior and I was playing Breakaway (the album) through my Beats headphones. Now, the incorporation of GaGa is obviously apparent with "EdgeOf." The tricky part was incorporating Rihanna and Kelly. I originally thought about "EdgeOfLove," combining TEOG and WFL, but that was so cheesetastic that I Liz Lemon eyerolled myself.
Besides, I was alienating Kelly and we all know that the butch bitch is anti-love with all her heart break anthems. It just wasn't organic and it didn't make sense. However, "Addicted" suddenly oozed through my headphones and I was briefly mesmerized by the the first line, "It's like your drug, it's like you're a demon I can't face down..." I drifted in and out of the song while I continued to rack my brains for the perfect username. I mindlessly swiped my fingers back and forth on my trackpad and then this image popped up.
Death at me having to rename one of the folder from "Gifs""Jonny Lightning's Nudes" to "Misc" so I don't seem like a complete creep. Anyways, that image instantly sparked the heart wrenching monologue from the video in my head.
It's like you're screaming, and no one can hear
You almost feel ashamed
That someone could be that important
That without them, you feel like nothing
No one will ever understand how much it hurts
You feel hopeless; like nothing can save you
And when it's over, and it's gone
You almost wish that you could have all that bad stuff back
So that you could have the good
*Pause as I take a break to watch the WFL video and commence to have a minor breakdown, reminiscent of Rob Pattinson's when he found out Kristin banged her father*
But at that instant, while "Addicted" was still playing, I replayed scenes from the video in my mind, the drug scenes being the most prevalent, and than I had it. Addiction. EdgeOfAddiction. It was powerful. It was unique. It. Was. GLORIOUS.
Of course I had to share my excitement with someone who understood what I went through, so I texted a fellow ATRL member, Amaru, hoping he would praise my username and tell me it was flawless like Rihanna...
The reply I got was, "You're such a ****. This is what you did instead of getting plowed tonight?"
...
Kill me.

I'm content with my username overall. It's easy to remember and it's just...me. I stan for sooo many artists i would have regretted choosing a username with an artist's name in it. If you have a username with an artist's name in it, it pretty much requires an avi of that artist which would not be okay with me. Depending on which one of my faves is releasing at the current time, I want an avi of them, not an avi of the same person forever. Having my username be "Ke$ha4Ever" and having an avi of Rihanna would just look so tacky.
I wouldn't change my username if i could with ATRL+ as it's what people know me by and so far my reputation is good and I plan to keep it that way...for the most part
