I wonder what got you two estranged though. By the sounds of it, you sounded extremely close growing up.
We were extremely close. We were almost like brothers. Hell, his mom and my mom even went to high school together. But it wasn't really one, singular event that estranged us. As we got older, we just seemed to drift farther and farther away from each other. I don't even know how to explain it.
Honestly, it depends on the game you're going to a midnight release for. The FFXIII one was full of cosplayers and rude people who attempted to push you out of the entrance because they wanted their entrance first. All the RE fans I've met online and in personal are all generally chill though so the atmosphere should be pretty alright.

That sounds reminds me so much of my friend, tbh. A similar thing happened with my cousin and I. Same age and everything and we were super close growing up, but now during family gatherings we hardly interact with each other. It's a damn mess.
In my chemistry class last year, there was a student who only showed up 2 days for the entire year and both days he showed up he was jacked on weed. He smelt like it. Randomly burst out laughing in dead silence. And talked like he was drunk.
