It IS, and that's the issue with other fanbases. They are too fast to assume we're being serious and dont stop to think that, just maybe, we're being sarcastic or intentionally over complimentary.

Not many people downplay Gaga's success.
It's just that her fans "up-play" her success, and when everybody else is being realistic about her, they think they're downplaying her.
I can understand why Lady Gaga fans think she's the biggest pop star of all time or whatever. I've seen her fans say the stupidest things before, like "I never realized Ciara had a top 10 hit", "Who's Ashanti?", "I've never heard 4 Minutes before", "Toxic isn't well-known, it didn't even go top 5", "Rihanna wasn't relevent before Umbrella". Just they say so many stupid things, I think Lady Gaga is the first and only pop star a lot of them have ever known tbh. No wonder they think she invented everything.

I get that it's annoying when people try to downplay success, but did this really need a thread? All other artists get downplayed too, it's not just GaGa. People act delusional over everything. Adele's album sales, Katy's single sales, GaGa's tour numbers, etc.
