So: Eminem is a rapper it's not the same public, Taylor & LA are Country and it's the favorite music in the US, Justin was a phenomenon back then (you want to talk about his new album maybe?) and the last one was a Xmas album (and btw, he did not outsell TD, maybe this year but he didn't).
If you want to compare, compare with Pop artists, you can't compare rap or country artists with Pop artists, mainly in the US. TD is going to sell 2M7 before the year ends and probably (why not) 3M next year, stop acting like it was bad omg, it doesn't happen everyday (and that's not like every artists could sell both singles and albums, it's Katy's case, you want it or not).
let's not act like all the other girls didn't release up to 5 singles too 
I am sure artpop won't change anything tbh, she is going downhill more and more.
