It's not that she's letting the haters get her down, it's that she's a human being. As someone who has suffered from bulimia, I can say that it's not so much what other people think that matters, it's what YOU think of yourself that matters. Gaga has suffered with this for a very long time, meaning that no matter how many haters or fans she has, things are still going to be tough. Gaga knows we love her, she knows we support her no matter how much she weighs, but that doesn't change the eternal struggle she has to deal with, it just makes it a tad bit easier.
Gaga puts on a brave face for US, for those who love her and don't want to see her sad. She is always putting us before the others. Think about it, she says she doesn't care about the hate and she starts this "Body Revolution" thing, yet still decides to change her skimpy outfits and keep the meat skirt on during Poker Face. She wants US to think she's okay because she doesn't want US to worry.
I can't help but love her very, very much because of that.
Edit: I wish someone who met her backstage would try to have a semi-heart-to-heart with her. She's so used to us being like, "Give me an autograph, blah blah," that it would probably mean a lot to her if someone was just like, "You are beautiful in your way."
