I wish people would SHUT THE **** UP saying YM ruined Nicki. Lets not act like if she was on another label she would even have half of the exposure. Teyana Taylor is on G.O.OD with Kanye, is she doing anything? No. J.Cole is on Roc Nation, is he a huge star, like say Drake? No.
Lil Wayne helped Nicki get exposure from the urban community, because at the time Lil Wayne was the most popular rapper (Nicki took that spot, ha). If Nicki was on some other label, she would not be getting the deals that come her way, nor would she be mentioned with the other big pop gerls.
Yes, YM is a label who makes stupid music decisions, but they have never dealt with a huge star like Nicki. Yes Nicki music has changed but thats debatable, they want her to keep making mixtape music, but she can't because it isn't appealing to the masses. They need to be grateful that Nicki isn't getting shelved like most artists on rap labels.
