Nobody said they were obligated, but as much as some might hate to admit it, the LGBT community needs support and help to promote acceptance.

I simply meant that saying it's not their job to do so is rather counterproductive to the progression of society, and without supporters the LGBT community would have a far harder time being accepted. Nowhere did I say or even imply that anyone was obligated to help.
