It really just sounds like a first single should in my opinion. Sadly, while we all hate to admit it chart progression is what gives our favorite artist relevancy. We all want her to sell because really that's how we get new music from them the fastest. Its how they get promoted and get arena tours. While I hate to say that I want Ke$ha to get a number one, its just how it is.
"Die Young" is the first single she's put out where her vocals honestly slay, its the first single where I can say "wow she honestly sounds great". Her rap-singing is what is going to make people go "That's KE$HA!!!" and the way she sings the chorus is going the confuse the General Public and wonder where this sound is coming from. Its not a huge progression, but its better then nothing.
I have no doubt in my mind that "Warrior" will give us what we've been wanting from Ke$ha in a long time, specially after hearing the "Supernatural" snippet. I know the rest of the album will be filled with that artistic progression we've all wanted.
I can tell where this under-whelming feeling comes from, because at the same time when I first heard it, I was like well...this sounds like something Ke$ha's done before, with a new twist. That new twist though got me hooked and I'm still jamming to this song.
I have faith in Ke$ha, and know she won't let us down.
