It could, especially if it hangs around for another few months and its airplay like doubles from where it is now (~31 million), that could send it to #1 on iTunes again. The best-selling single from an American Idol is "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" at over 3.7 million, so "Home" does have over another 2 million to go.

Naa, I don't think he will do anything, I think that this year we've learned not to trust in how the song performs in radio because we've had many surprises (WYHB, WUB, SN, Lights, Home, etc)

The last one I remember is Drake - Best I Ever Had. It was repressed for more than 6 weeks and then it was released to itunes when it was #6 on Radio Songs and then it jumped from #27 to #3 on the Hot 100.
