All perfumes aren't made the same. I'd be lying if I said people aren't buying at least partially because it's a celebrity perfume, but the expensive stuff sticks on your body better with less sprays. In the end it's worth the money because you won't need a new bottle for awhile.

I went through a phrase of buying really cheap $4 perfumes at department stores, they're normally Victoria's Secret knock-offs or celeb knock-offs and don't work half as good. & sometimes the cheap stuff can burn and/or irritate your skin, so it's better to be safe than sorry.

I was thinking this too. The fact that more people are willing to buy perfume that is much more expensive than an album sounds fishy.

Only fans of Gaga or her type of music are going to purchase her albums. Perfume is for everyone. Old people, people who like rock music, hip hop, jazz, r&b, country, anything. It makes complete sense why a perfume would sell more than an album.

Gaga's fanbase/stanbase buy her music, older women who would rather listen to Barbra Streisand would buy her perfume, + fans, + young girls/women. My mother bought Britney perfume in the past, but would never bop to her music.

Perfume and albums are entirely different things.

We're on the digital age tho. Albums aren't as huge as they were before. Not to mention you can illegaly download songs as well

No, you're not thinking at all because this makes no sense. People who want to buy perfume =/= people who want to buy music. If people could illegally download this perfume, it'd sell as much as BTW did.

Either way it's delusional to think Gaga would've sold 6 million albums if piracy didn't exist. The highest selling album ever was by Utada and it only sold 3 million in a week. To think Gaga would've sold 6 million albums in a week it's stupid.
