Adam Sandler stars as Dracula, who in this movie runs a hotel for monsters who want to get away from humans. Andy Samberg stars as a regular human who accidentally stumbles into the hotel. While the monsters freak out, he falls in love with Dracula's daughter, Selena Gomez.
Open Season made $85 million way back in 2006. If Hotel Transylvania can just sell as many tickets, it will crack $100 million. There is some pretty good buzz for this movie, when compared to other similar releases. It is a family film and those rarely generate a massive amount of buzz, unless they are tentpole releases. The trailer looked okay, in a secondary animated film sort of way. Open Season earned 48% positive reviews and I figure this one will do about the same. Unfortunately, since 2006 digitally animated films have become so common that the average box office numbers are much lower. Also, Finding Nemo will still be in theaters and that could hurt this film at the box office.
I would be really happy if it were a surprise $100 million hit, but a second place opening and better than average legs is probably as good as it will get for Hotel Transylvania.

Here at Buzzworthy, we're major supporters of Musicians Making a Difference (which is not to be confused with our other favorite fictional organization, Musicians Who Swim With Sea Animals). I mean, really, if you're gonna be in the limelight 24/7, you should probably do something productive and charitable with all that fame, right? And on that note, we're sooo excited that Selena Gomez will be leading an all-star lineup of musicians who are banding together to help end poverty at the Global Citizen Festival, held in New York City's Central Park, produced by AEG Network Live, and streamed live in a special webcast. So... obviously we'll be watching, and we expect you will be too. Ending world hunger plus star spotting opportunities! Biggest win we can think of.
Representing the U.S. Fund For UNICEF (she's their ambassador!), Selena will be joining Katie Couric, Jeffrey Sachs, Jack Dorsey, Minka Kelly, Sophia Bush, Olivia Wilde, Katharine McPhee, and Erin Heatherton at the festival along with TONS of performers, including Neil Young with Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, Band of Horses, and K’naan. Ok, sold. So where can we watch?
The Global Citizen Festival will broadcast live from Central Park on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 4pm E.T. Watch it live on Palladia, MTV.com, and VH1.com.

i would be happy with top 3 in the box office tbh  but i wouldn't complain if she has a bigger openning week
